It was blue and green, large-checked in pattern, and a little worn around the collar and cuffs. It was clean, and yet it smelled of Jack. Ennis breathed deeply for a moment, squeezing the collar lightly with both hands, just barely resisting the urge to bring the borrowed shirt to his face and hold it there for a moment or two, just to breathe in the lingering scent of his friend.”
